The discrepancies from the evolution of Latin in the different regions of Italy may be attributed on the purely natural improvements that all languages in typical use are subject matter to, and to some extent towards the existence of three other kinds of languages: substrata, superstrata, and adstrata. By far the most widespread were substrata (the
